Saturday Scripture

Here is a scripture which I think is very wonderful, I have found that it is alot like the other scripture I love so much which is found in Alma 13:28-29, and as I was reading this I fell in love with it. It is a really good scripture!!

Alma 37:35-36

35 O, remember, my son, and learn wisdom in thy youth; yea, learn in thy youth to keep the commandments of God.

36 Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and withersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy toughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let thy affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.

37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

So I was reading this scripture the other day, and the first verse we all know very well, but I like the next two much better, because it tells you if you walk in the Lords footsteps, you will enter into his presence some day, that is just way awesome too me!!!

Another Book of Mormon Placed!!!!

Yesterday, I had to go to a practice for a sepecialy number for an Institute Chorale concert. I have no car, so I had to take public transportation to the practice. While I was at the Front Runner station, a girl asked me if I had a phone she could borrow. Of course she had to ask the one person who didnt have a phone. We started talking, and I ended up telling her I was going on a mission. She graduated the same year as me, and she went to a school in Salt Lake. I asked her if she was L.D.S. and she told me that she wasnt, so just as the Salt Lake train pulled up I asked her if she would like a copy of the Book of Mormon, and I told her that she should read it, because it is a great help in my life. I happened to have a Book of Mormon in my back pack, and I gave it to her. She opened it while she went to get on the train to Salt Lake. I thought it was so cool that the opportunity just happened to come up, and I was able to give someone the chance to have the Book of Mormon. I really hope she reads it, and prays to know that it is true. It was a real blessing to be able to talk to her, and have a missionary moment with her. I cant wait for my mission, so I can have those moments all the time!!!

Going Through The Temple!!!

So I had the opportunity to get my endowments out yesterday, and it was the best expierience of my life. I feel so blessed to have the gospel in my life, and to have Temples surrounding the place I live. I felt the spirit so strong while in the temple, and you could feel such an absence of the advesary. I think it is the best thing that you can do when you are old enough, and worthy. I am so proud of my family, and so glad that they could all be worthy for the temple. I cant wait till Annie is old enough to go through, that way we can go as a whole family.

My Mission Call

I know that I am really late on this, because I am pretty sure most of you already know about my mission through facebook, but I thought it would be fun to post a video of me opening my call. I am so excited for my mission. It is definitely going to be the best to years of my life. I just cant wait to go into the MTC. I am so EXCITED!!!!!!

So there you have it I am going to be going to the Cebu, Philippines Mission. I am so excited. You also learned from the video that I will be leaving to the MTC on the 23rd of September, and that I will be learning the Cebuano language while at the MTC, and throughout my mission. I just cant wait!!! I am so ready to serve the lord with all my Heart, Might, Mind, and Strength. I am looking forward to the day to go into the MTC.

This is the Philippines Flag, just to show you all, I am pretty sure some of you already knew what it looked like, but I sure didn't. I think its pretty cool. I should probably look up the meaning of it. But there it is.

This is a digital image of the Cebu Philippines Temple, it is to be dedicated sometime during January. So I will be there when its dedicated. I think it is so cool, that they are putting a temple up in my mission while I am there. It is so cool that its getting put up in my mission, because my mission is so small. I am so ecstatic that this temple is going up in my mission.

Yellowstone Trip

These are some pictures and videos of my families Jackson/Yellowstone trip. It was very fun, and I dont think we had one major fight the whole time which is very rare on these kind of things, but like I said it was alot of fun and we all really enjoyed it.

watched him climb up a tree, and then he

started making weird noises.

State one. I think she is jealous that my

hoodie is cooler than hers.

I thought the bubbling was pretty cool, so I

took a video of it.

as well and it was sure acting up for me.

has a name, but I forgot what it was called.

So anyway it was a really cool waterfall.

Knee Surgury and Mission Stuff

Well if you didn't already know I had surgury on my knee, because I had a meniscus tear, that needed to be fixed. I had plenty of time to blog about it, but haven't. I am such a slacker on my blog. Anyway the surgury wasn't too bad, and I was working the same week of the surgery. I had to wear a brace for about two weeks, but I didnt wear it too much the second week I had it. I just couldn't stand for my leg to be stiff. I am doing alot better, and my knee feels good.

Another thing I have to talk about is my MISSION. I am so excited for my MISSION I turned my papers in on tuesday, and am anxiously waiting for a call. I am so excited to get out in the field and serve. I just know that this gospel is true, and being able to spread that to complete strangers, and see how it blesses their lives is going to be so awesome. I have already posted my mission thing on facebook, and have got an enormous response to where everyone thinks I will go, and I made a map of everyones guesses. It is so weird to think I will be going through the temple soon, and before I know it I will be on my MISSION. I am so excited!!!

Car Accident

Yesterday was a very eventful day. My dad woke me up an hour before my ward met, so I could be to church on time. I stayed in my bed for a half hour, then I got up and took a showere, which lasted to long. I ended up leaving my house 10 minutes late for church. I went to pick up Roxanna for chuch, but she had already left for chuch. When I approched the antelope/hillfield intersection the light was green, so I kept going. Up out of nowhere a Truck came speeding through the intersection, and I hit him in the rear right tire. I soun around, and He swereved to the side. I hit my head on something in the car, but it only felt like a tap. The driver of the truck got out of his vehicle, and came over to my car to see if I was ok. I could barely back my car out of the intersection. It was the craziest thing ever, I had never been in a car accident before, so It kind of baffled me.

After I filled out my report, my mom took me to the emergency room to see if my head was ok, they didn't take any x-rays, all they did was have me breath deeply, to see if my back and neck were ok. They gave me a muscle relaxer, and an anti-inflamatory pill. They then released me, and told me that I would later feel pain in my neck.

I went straight to my bead, and immediatly calls started coming, everyone was asking if I was ok. I felt very loved, because everyone was making sure I was fine. When my mom came back with the medication the Doctor prescribed, she told me that their were flowers at our house, with no name on it, I am not sure who brought them, but that person must know that my favorite color is orange, because they were orange tulips. I had a couple visitors, and they came to make sure I was fine. I recieved a card from my niece, and she wrote it all by herself. Today when we went to get the stuff out of the car, I took pictures. We had to talk to a rental car place, and to the insurance company to get a testiomonial from me. My neck is really stiff, and it has pain on one side, but my head has stopped hurting. I am glad that my life was spared, because if I had been a second sooner, I would have been gone. It is cool to see that the lord is looking out for me, and wants me to keep going down the right path.
